On April 16 and 17, 2024, PASCAL held a training of trainers event for young members of Civil Society Organizations and Academies at ENAPP in Luanda. The aim of the event was to train participants in the areas of citizenship, participatory governance, human rights and the functioning of public institutions in Angola.

With the aim of strengthening the role of young people as agents of change in their communities, the training aimed to enable them to act as knowledge multipliers with women, young people and under-represented groups. Using theoretical and practical tools, the participants were prepared to disseminate information about citizenship, human rights and participatory governance in an effective and inclusive way.

The expected results include strengthening CSOs, raising civic awareness and promoting active participation in governance, as well as developing practical skills such as effective communication and leadership.

The training was attended by more than 42 young leaders from CSOs and the Academy, with the potential to disseminate the knowledge acquired to a wider audience, thus contributing to strengthening communities in Angola.
