Women of Cacuso strengthen their voice in local governance

Training enables women’s organizations to participate more in public life and defend community interests.

In the municipality of Cacuso, 18 women from the Artisanal Soap Production Cooperative and the Batalhadoras Association participated in a training course on Participation and Open Government. This initiative, promoted by PASCAL, aimed to strengthen the role of women in defending their interests and actively engaging in public life.

Led by focal point Jenuíno Roque and civil society assistant Custódia Lopes, the training covered topics such as women’s associations and the importance of legalizing groups for more effective local governance.

Participants highlighted the transformative impact of the initiative, recognizing associations as an essential tool for public participation. This event reinforces our commitment to creating opportunities and empowering women to become protagonists in the decisions that shape their communities.
