capacity building and coordination for more inclusive and participatory local governance

We are pursuing our mission of empowering and strengthening citizen participation in local governance. In January, our teams in Luanda, Malanje and Benguela carried out various strategic actions, promoting training, debates and articulations to improve the impact of the project in the communities.

In Luanda, José Tiago conducted a training session on Drawing up an Action Plan with the members of the CTGOM in Catete, addressing the structural reorganization due to the new Political-Administrative Division. There were nine participants, including one woman.

In Malanje, Jenuíno Roque took part in a radio debate promoted by the Kutunga Consortium on the role of citizens in local governance, discussing challenges such as the representation of women and young people, the formalization of local organizations and education for citizenship.

While in Benguela, Gabriel Romeu was in Catumbela, where he aligned the preparations for the first ordinary CAC of the year with the CAC secretariat and the Legal Office. The proposal included the formal appointment of secretariat members to ensure greater organization and effectiveness of the work.

PASCAL remains committed to strengthening participatory governance and ensuring that the voices of communities are heard and valued.
