The Maxinde regency, in the municipality of Malanje, opened the doors to an in-depth dialogue on local challenges, with the active participation of PASCAL.

Held at the Professora Holga Primary School, the first ordinary session of 2025 brought together 19 traditional authorities and coordinators of Residents’ Committees to discuss security, public order, health and the role of the community in local governance.

As guests, the Commander of the Maxinde Police Station and the Director of the Maxinde 2 Health Post presented solutions to critical issues faced in the neighborhood. PASCAL’s Focal Point, Jenuíno Roque, highlighted the importance of active citizenship and encouraged the replication of this meeting model in other areas under the responsibility of the Traditional Authorities and Residents’ Committees present.

This event reaffirms PASCAL’s commitment to promoting inclusive participation and strengthening the connection between communities and local administrations, as part of its mission to transform governance in Angola.
