A collaborative approach to transforming local realities with inclusion and gender equity.

With the aim of strengthening gender skills and promoting local development, our Focal Point Gabriel Romeu and Civil Society Assistant Inácio Tomás brought together public institutions and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) at the Benguela Media Library. This meeting, held on January 23 and 24, was a milestone for the inclusion and training of leaders in the five municipalities where PASCAL, a project funded by the European Union, operates.

Facilitated by Dr. Rodmira Nanga, the event highlighted themes such as sex, gender, gender mainstreaming and their relationship with local development. During two days of intense debate and learning, the 27 participants, including 12 women, contributed enriching perspectives.

The highlight was the closing session with group work, where participants identified concrete projects and actions aligned with their local realities. This joint effort reaffirms PASCAL’s commitment to fostering gender equality and promoting fairer and more inclusive communities.
