
Gabriel Romeu discusses CTGOM’s advances and challenges with the Vice-Governor.
Gabriel Romeu, PASCAL Focal Point in Benguela, was received by the Vice-Governor for the Political, Economic and Social sector, together with Municipal Administrators and Advisors. The meeting addressed crucial issues regarding CTGOM, including the renewal of mandates, creation of monitoring committees, and the need for greater proximity between Provincial and Municipal CTGOM.

The delay in the availability of funds for the current year and the importance of the Municipal Forums for the Collection of Contributions and the presentation of accounts were discussed. The Vice-Governor promised to work on the issues of the CTGOM and highlighted the need for income-generating projects in the communities. The Administrator of Cubal expressed concern about the financial delays and the devaluation of the Kwanza, while the Administrator of Catumbela suggested collaboration in municipal forums to better clarify the Participatory Budget.
This meeting reinforces the commitment to cooperation and the search for effective solutions to the challenges faced by the municipalities.
