Cacula moves towards more inclusive governance with open government training

We held an important training session for residents’ committees in the commune of Thicuaqueia, in the municipality of Cacula, focusing on Open Government, the ladder of participation and the fundamental tasks of residents’ committees. This event, organized by PASCAL, aimed to provide the necessary tools to promote greater inclusion and transparency in local governance.

The training was given by our Focal Point Manuel das Mangas, together with Nadjele Tchilongo, Director of the Legal Office and Support to Residents’ Committees of the Cacula Municipal Administration, and Mbembua, Head of Section for Support to Residents’ Committees.

The event was held in two languages – Portuguese and Nyaneka – to ensure that all the participants, from the Thicuaqueia commune, fully understood the content. During the session, questions raised by the participants were promptly clarified, promoting an inclusive and interactive learning environment.

This training is a fundamental step towards strengthening community participation and the implementation of more open and accessible government practices.
