Who they are

RMA is an organization dedicated to empowering women and young people in Angola, with a focus on increasing their participation in local governance. They implement activities in Huambo province, covering the municipalities of Bailundo, Caala, Cachiungo, Longonjo, and Huambo, aiming to foster more inclusive and effective civic engagement.

 

 mission

To contribute to the effective engagement of women and young people in local governance by raising awareness about their rights and ensuring their active participation in decision-making processes. RMA works to enhance understanding of laws related to women’s and young people’s rights, ensuring they can better engage in governance and local decision-making.

By empowering these groups and promoting the use of legal frameworks for their rights, RMA aims to facilitate more inclusive decision-making and enhance their influence in local governance processes.

 

Duration of activity

The total duration of their project is 14 months, starting on February 15th 2024 and ending on April 14th 2025.

 

Target Beneficiaries

Women and young people in the municipalities of Bailundo, Caala, Cachiungo, Longonjo, and Huambo in Huambo province.
