Workshop brings together technical team to reflect on challenges and solutions in integrating gender-sensitive policies.
On December 19th, 2024, PASCAL held a virtual workshop to strengthen the skills of its technical team in the provinces of Luanda, Huíla, Benguela, Huambo and Malanje. The training covered fundamental concepts of gender and local development, promoting reflections on the impact of gender-sensitive policies on women’s participation in public life.
Under the guidance of Analdina Nouemou, Civil Society Support Specialist, and Cecília Kitombe, guest facilitator, the meeting highlighted challenges such as unequal access to resources and the social barriers faced by women in Angola. The opening was led by Teófilo Kaingona, representing the Director of PASCAL, who stressed the importance of gender mainstreaming in the project’s actions.
With interactive activities, including group exercises and brainstorming, the participants shared local experiences and identified practical strategies for implementing policies that promote gender equality.
This workshop is another milestone in PASCAL’s commitment to creating innovative solutions for local development, contributing to a more inclusive society.
