Strategic meeting discusses progress, challenges and the future of the project funded by the European Union.
Today, September 11, 2024, the PASCAL Technical Committee met at the Project Office in Luanda, to evaluate the activities carried out during the last quarter and define the actions for the next period. The meeting, moderated by the project director, Pablo López Deán, was attended by managers and specialists from several partner institutions, both in person and online.
PASCAL, funded by the European Union, aims to strengthen participatory governance in Angola through technical training, scientific studies and civil society involvement. During the meeting, key issues were discussed, such as the evaluation of multi-factorial participation mechanisms, training programmes for youth in several provinces and the project’s communication plan.
In addition to reviewing the activities carried out between June and August, the Committee set goals for the next quarter, including continuing training and strengthening citizen journalism networks. The meeting also addressed the request for an extension of the project at no additional cost and discussed possibilities for future continuity.
Meeting quarterly, the Technical Committee is a key body in monitoring and supervising PASCAL’s progress, ensuring that its activities remain aligned with strategic objectives and local needs.
