Training of CACs of Biopium and Gama by the PASCAL Focal Point.
Gabriel Romeu, PASCAL Focal Point, led a series of training sessions for the Consultation and Consultation Councils (CAC) in the Biópio commune, Catumbela municipality. The focus was to strengthen the functionality of the CACs based on Presidential Decree 225/18, addressing the concept, competencies, territorial scope and function of the CAC Secretariat. The training, which was attended by 21 people, including 2 women, aimed to encourage members to discuss and bring community concerns to the CAC.

Gabriel Romeu then trained the Gama Community CAC, with the participation of 27 people, including 4 women. The advance sharing of meeting agendas and summaries was identified as an ongoing challenge by members.
These trainings are essential to promote participatory governance and ensure that community concerns are adequately represented and discussed in the CACs.
