Co-creation action strengthens local participation and the development of community projects.

As part of PASCAL, a project funded by the European Union, the Youth Association for the Promotion of Angolan Women (AJOMA) held an important co-creation session with the presence of the PASCAL Focal Point in Huíla, Manuel das Mangas. The event was attended by the Municipal Administrator, who presided over the opening and closing of the session, with the aim of training members of the CTGOM and other women’s organizations in the preparation, monitoring and evaluation of projects.

The highlight of the meeting was training on the “Principles of How the CTGOM Works and Project Preparation, Monitoring and Evaluation”, given by Eduardo Gabriel, a technician from the Participatory Budgeting (PB) team in Huíla province. The topic “Participatory Social Diagnosis” was also addressed by Otto Adriano, advisor to the Provincial Vice-Governor for the political, social and economic sector.

The training was enriched with group dynamics, coordinated by the PASCAL Focal Point, providing an active exchange of ideas and experiences between the 26 participants, 15 of whom were women, 10 of whom were CTGOM members.

This action reinforces PASCAL’s commitment to promoting citizen participation, good governance and sustainable development in communities, empowering local leaders to monitor and implement projects that benefit the population in an inclusive and efficient way.
