Message on governance, participation and the ladder of participation reaches Cacula residents’ committees

Meeting highlights the role of residents’ committees and the ladder of participation for active citizenship.

On October 11, the residents’ committees of the Cacula municipal seat met for a fundamental training session on Governance, Participation and the Ladder of Participation.

The session was led by the Municipal Administrator, Dr. José Mariano dos Santos, who stressed the importance of community involvement. The Administrator of Cacula Commune, Mrs. Aida da Glória, and the Secretary General of the Municipal Administration, Mr. Gilberto Gil Mucuanha, also attended the event, reiterating their commitment to inclusive and effective governance.

During the meeting, Dr. Nandjele Tchilongo, Director of the Legal Office, detailed how residents’ committees work, followed by an intervention by Manuel das Mangas, PASCAL Focal Point, who explored the concept of the Ladder of Participation and emphasized how citizens can participate in a meaningful way.

The training had 36 participants, including 11 women, who had the opportunity to share experiences and discuss practical issues, strengthening their sense of community.
