Meeting reflects on strengthening CMAC and supporting PASCAL in Malanje.
As part of the PASCAL project, funded by the European Union, a reflection meeting was held with the Secretariat of the Malanje Municipal Consultation and Concertation Council (CMAC).
Last Wednesday, our Focal Point, Jenuíno Roque, presented Custódia Lopes, Civil Society Support Assistant, to the municipal authorities. During the meeting, the Deputy Municipal Administrator, Aidne Lameirão, expressed her full support for the activities promoted by PASCAL and the assistant, reaffirming her commitment to strengthening local development.
The meeting focused on assessing compliance with legislation and discussing the challenges faced by the local administration. Suggestions were made to adapt some processes to the legislation, to strengthen governance and promote a more inclusive and participatory society. The Malanje authorities’ commitment to supporting PASCAL’s actions is fundamental to ensuring that local communities are increasingly involved and represented in decision-making processes.
