A team of researchers and consultants from the Technical Group of Service Providers (GT-APS) of the Research and Development Center of the Higher Polytechnic Institute of Benguela (ISPB) met with the Municipal Administrator of Benguela, Armando Vieira, to discuss the Project to Support Civil Society and Local Administration in Angola (PASCAL).

This project, funded by the European Union, aims to assess citizen participation in local governance.

During the meeting, the main focus was on listening to the Administrator, as a member of the Social Consultation and Concertation Council (CACS), in order to achieve one of the study’s main objectives: to understand how the CACS work in the municipality of Benguela.

At the end of the meeting, the importance of strengthening relations between the ISPB and the Benguela Municipal Administration was stressed, with the aim of contributing to the resolution of various challenges affecting public administration in the country and in the municipality in particular.
