PASCAL celebrates youth creativity and innovation in the final of the Genius Challenge.
We attended the event celebrating youth creativity, the “Desafio Genial” initiative, a platform promoted by UNICEF Angola and partners to highlight the innovative potential of Angolan youth.
With the participation of more than 500 young people, the event was a showcase of the transformative power of youth to face contemporary challenges in Angola.
The Palácio de Ferro hosted the grand final of Desafio Genial, a milestone in the engagement of Angolan youth. The Gray Star team won first place with the Giro Urbano project, focused on modernizing public transportation through a payments fintech. Viva Surdos came in second, promoting technical training for deaf people.
In addition, we were present and distributed citizenship guides, reinforcing the importance of civic engagement. The words of the Secretary of State for Youth, Danila Bragança, inspired everyone when she emphasized that “education is the key to progress.” The event also included an entrepreneurship fair and cultural presentations that emphasized the importance of an inclusive and sustainable future for Angola.
