Active citizen participation and administrative transparency.
Gabriel Romeu, PASCAL’s Focal Point, took part in the municipal accountability and contribution collection forum held at the Cubal Women’s House.
The event was led by Crisóstomo Pedro, the IASED coordinator, together with the Municipal Administrator and the CTGOM Coordinator, with the aim of providing clarification to residents about the anti-poverty axes to be implemented in the municipality, the total funding from the State Budget for 2024, levels of implementation and the number of beneficiaries per axis.
The meeting was attended by nine participants, addressing concerns and questions about the projects, with only one woman actively participating. In the second session, dedicated to collecting contributions, 35 members representing all the communes were selected, while the rest were asked to leave the room as a result of IASED’s methodology.
This event reinforces the commitment to transparency and citizen participation in the municipality’s administrative decisions.
