In Benguela, we concentrated our efforts on Cubal, where we had a series of productive discussions with the Administrator, the new Director of the Legal Office and the CTGOM Coordinator. Our work focused on key issues for improving local governance, such as the holding of the first Ordinary CAC, the training of residents’ committees and the impacts of the New Political-Administrative Division on the municipality.
Our mission to Benguela also included a regional workshop on PB (Participatory Budgeting), which aims to promote greater transparency and citizen participation. In addition, we took the opportunity to strengthen ties with the Municipal Administrator of Capupa, presenting PASCAL‘s intention to continue working in the communes that have evolved into municipalities. The proposal was very well received, and the Administrator was totally willing to collaborate. Our aim is to ensure that civic participation remains a priority in local development.
