Gender training brings together leaders in Huíla

From January 27 to 28, we held a transformative training session on Gender and Local Development in ISCED Huila’s main hall. Taught by specialist Rodmira Nanga, with the support of Focal Point Manuel das Mangas and PASCAL’s Civil Society Assistant in Huíla, Daniel Chissumba, the training was attended by provincial and municipal leaders and representatives of civil society.

With a total of 27 participants, including 17 women, the event was a milestone in the training of leaders from PASCAL’s five intervention municipalities: Chibia, Cacula, Humpata, Caconda and Lubango. The training covered crucial topics such as gender mainstreaming, local development and the inclusion of women’s perspectives in decision-making processes.

The participants identified challenges and proposed concrete actions to promote gender equality in their localities. The closing ceremony reinforced the collective commitment to implementing transformative projects that put gender equality at the heart of local development.
