Who they are
ASD is a non-governmental and non-profit organization based in Angola, operating in the province of Huila, specifically in the municipalities of Lubango, Humpata, and Chibia. Their work focuses on promoting the inclusive and effective participation of civil society in governance processes to contribute to economic growth and social development.

To foster stronger and more effective participation from civil society, particularly under-represented groups such as women and young people, in local decision-making platforms. Through their work, ASD aims to raise awareness about citizens’ rights, the role of public institutions, decentralization, and participatory governance, ensuring that these groups are actively engaged in the governance process.

Duration of activity
The total duration of their project is 10 months, beginning May 14th 2024 and ending March 13th 2025.
Target Beneficiaries
At least 3,000 people, with a focus on women and young people, will benefit from information on human rights, public institutions, decentralization, and participatory governance.
