Who they are

OMUNGA is a non-profit organization based in Angola, operating in Benguela province, specifically in the municipalities of Balombo, Catumbela, Benguela, and Cubal. Their work focuses on strengthening citizen participation and supporting civil society and faith-based organizations to engage in more inclusive and democratic decision-making processes that directly affect local communities.

To contribute to citizen participation and the strengthening of civil society and organizations in local governance. OMUNGA works to expand spaces for public discussion, increase knowledge about the cultural, economic, and social realities of municipalities, and encourage the emergence and empowerment of these organizations for better local decision-making.

Duration of activity

The total duration of their project is 10 months, starting July 22nd 2024 and ending May 21st 2025.

 

Target Beneficiaries

The general population of the municipalities of Balombo, Catumbela, Benguela, and Cubal in Benguela province.
