Civil Society Focal Point and Assistant work in Catumbela to strengthen local support

As part of the presentations by the Civil Society Support Assistant in Benguela, PASCAL, a project funded by the European Union, continues with its commitment to strengthening local governance and community participation. This week, Gabriel Romeu, PASCAL Focal Point, and Inácio Tomás, Civil Society Support Assistant, held strategic meetings in Catumbela, highlighting the importance of collaborative actions to achieve the project’s objectives.

Gabriel Romeu and Inácio Tomás participated in two crucial meetings in the municipality of Catumbela. In the first, they met with the Director of the Legal Office, where they presented the assistant’s functions and discussed the role of PASCAL in empowering civil society. In the second meeting, they focused on the social area, talking to the assistant of the Municipal Administration. During these meetings, dates and details were shared for the resumption of the training activities of the communal and municipal Consultation and Consultation Councils (CAC), essential actions to promote more inclusive and collaborative public management.
