During the study visit to Spain, the Ministry of Territorial Administration (MAT) shared with the International and Ibero-American Foundation for Administration and Public Policy (FIIAPP) the new dynamics of local governance in Angola. It was explained that, unlike the current Provincial Administration Department (DPA), the country will have 20 provinces, 325 municipalities and 244 communes, totaling 589 administrative units. The aim is to bring administrative services closer to citizens and prepare local authorities for a more participatory and efficient future.
