Huíla: Training and local development.
In the province of Huíla, the initiative “Together for the Progress of the Municipality” was presented, subsidized by PASCAL and implemented by the NGO Acção de Solidariedade e Desenvolvimento (ASD). The meeting, led by PASCAL focal point Manuel Das Mangas, was attended by Edson Bandeira, Deputy Municipal Administrator for the economic and financial area of Lubango.
This project aims to promote sustainable development and social inclusion in municipalities, strengthening local governance and citizen participation.
Simultaneously, in Luanda, in the Urban District of Viana Sede, the PASCAL focal point, José Tiago, led a training on “Participation and Open Government — Reflection on Law 15/16 of September 12”. The event was attended by 73 people, 21 of whom were women.
The training aimed to clarify and reflect on legislation that promotes transparency and citizen participation in the governance process, strengthening the relationship between the government and civil society.
These initiatives are essential to promote active citizen participation and sustainable development in communities, in line with PASCAL’s objectives of strengthening local governance and social inclusion.
