PASCAL leads high-impact activities in Huambo

Encontro Huambo (3)

In Huambo, Maria de Lassalete, Focal Point of PASCAL – a project funded by the European Union, recently carried out two high-impact activities, highlighting the commitment to transparency and community development.

The first activity took place in Catchiungo, organised by APODES, and was attended by deputy administrators responsible for technical services, infrastructure and finance. During the session, CTGOM presented the portfolio of unexecuted projects for 2023. Despite the importance of the topics discussed, the debates were not very lively, reflecting the public’s limited knowledge of the analysis of accountability.

Maria de Lassalete also participated in the Caála forum, facilitated by ADRA. The event was attended by around 50 participants and was marked by intense discussions on the implementation of public programs. The Municipal Administrator was present throughout the day, responding to all questions raised by residents, demonstrating a strong commitment to transparency and accountability.

These activities underscore ongoing efforts to strengthen public participation and accountability in local governance, in line with PASCAL’s objectives of promoting sustainable and inclusive development.
