As part of PASCAL, a project funded by the European Union, a meeting was held at the Casa da Juventude in Viana to exchange experiences between the Technical Committees for the Management of the Municipal Budget (CTGOM) of Viana and Icolo e Bengo. The event was attended by 20 members, including GEP officials and Participatory Budgeting (PB) coordinators from both municipalities.

The main aim of the meeting was to share good practices and challenges in implementing participatory budgeting, with a focus on the project portfolio and the efficient management of financial resources. The exchange of experiences allowed participants to identify effective strategies for overcoming common obstacles, reinforcing the commitment to participatory governance.

One of the highlights was the presentation by Dr. João Domingos, from Development Workshop (DW), who addressed the importance of community development and participatory democracy in the context of participatory budgeting. The session strengthened cooperation between municipalities, promoting a joint vision of continuous improvement in local public management.
