Meetings reinforce participatory governance and community engagement in Icolo e Bengo and Estalagem.
With the aim of strengthening citizen participation and inclusion in decision-making processes, two landmark events were held in Icolo e Bengo and the Estalagem Urban District. The actions brought together local communities and young students, bringing a renewed focus on participatory governance and social empowerment.
In the Estalagem Urban District, the meeting to explain the programs of the Luanda Provincial Government was attended by 120 participants, including representatives of the municipal administration, residents’ committees, churches and traditional authorities. During the event, PASCAL presented the theme “Participatory Governance”, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and co-responsibility in local development.
In Icolo e Bengo, high school students from Liceu 6026 took part in a transformative training session on Participatory Governance. Young people aged between 15 and 25 shared their perspectives on the challenges of inclusion in public life and the impact of generational conflict on local development. Facilitated by our Focal Point, José Tiago, the training opened up space for in-depth reflections and pointed out ways to overcome barriers to participation.
We remain committed to creating spaces for dialog and learning that promote social cohesion, sustainable development and active citizenship in all the communities where we operate.
