Experts meet to strengthen institutional capacities and territorial cohesion in Angola.
The international conference on “Territorial Policy and Municipal Networks”, held at ENAPP, Luanda, brought together experts from Angola and Spain to debate the challenges and opportunities of decentralization and the new Angolan Political-Administrative Division.
Attended by 120 participants, including representatives from government, civil society, youth and women’s groups, the event highlighted the importance of creating inter-municipal cooperation networks, mutual learning and the transfer of skills to strengthen local governance.
The debates addressed decentralization as a way of bringing public services closer to the needs of communities, with the Spanish model standing out as an inspiration. This initiative is a further demonstration of PASCAL and MAT’s commitment to fostering an inclusive society and strengthening citizen participation for sustainable development.
